|Shed 4 Sussex|
|Status||- Planning granted 2011|
|Client||- Private|The conversion of this redundant farm building lies outside the development boundary, in an AONB and adjacent to a Grade II listed farmhouse. The brief was to work with the agricultural aesthetic by retaining the existing structure and overall form. The building is further integrated into the landscape with the retention of the mature trees to the north, extensive use of sedum roof, timber cladding and local stone plinth.
The plan is organized around a central glazed space and optimizes solar gain with the principal rooms facing south. It is designed for home working and flexible future use.
